Job summary

Clearway Pain Solutions is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and support in a clinical setting. You will enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR, assist with patient flow, and collect vital signs and medical history while maintaining patient confidentiality and a high standard of service.

You will also support staff with paperwork, records requests, and education materials, while adhering to HIPAA, infection control, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Must have knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service.
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public.
• Must be able to work individually as well as within a team.
• Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR system.
• Request medical records and verify patient information and history.
• Maintain a clean and organized exam area and assist with patient flow.
• Explain basic procedures and dispense educational materials.
• Assist with ultrasound preparation, injections, and specimen handling as directed.
• Provide courteous, professional service to patients and staff.
• Comply with HIPAA, infection control, safety, and OSHA standards.
