Job summary

VillageMD seeks a friendly and organized Patient Service Representative to greet patients, register them, and ensure smooth flow in a fast-paced clinic. You will handle calls, verify insurance, process payments, and maintain patient records with accuracy.

The role requires strong customer service, English communication, and multitasking abilities to support efficient care delivery. You will collaborate with clinical staff, schedule appointments, and assist with referrals and pre-authorizations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Previous PSR experience preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong customer service abilities and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and patients in a friendly, professional manner and direct them accordingly.
• Register patients, manage patient flow, and provide outstanding customer service.
• Answer phones promptly, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
• Explain delays, assist with patient comfort, and process self-pay payments with receipts.
• Scan insurance cards, verify benefits, update demographics, and handle daily reconciliations.
• Schedule appointments, manage waitlists, and coordinate with departments for referrals.
• Enter orders for diagnostics, assist with pre-authorizations, and communicate issues to supervisors.
