Job summary

Florida Atlantic University’s FAU Medical Group in Boca Raton, FL seeks a Patient Services Representative to manage calls, schedule appointments, verify information, and provide clerical support.

You will route calls, triage when needed, collect demographics, remind patients of arrival times, and support multiple departments. This on-site role offers benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 4 years of professional experience required.
• Experience in clinical practice with EMR and medical billing familiarity.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and faculty.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route to the appropriate personnel; take messages and assign tasks.
• Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments; call to reschedule as needed.
• Triages calls and escalates to Medical Assistant/Nurse or leadership when necessary.
• Enter accurate demographic information and ensure correct appointment details.
• Inform patients of documents to bring and remind arrival times.
• Retrieve voicemail messages and communicate pertinent information.
