Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and route to appropriate personnel; take messages and send tasks as necessary.

• Obtain and update demographic information (address, phone, insurance).
• Inform caller of items to bring to appointment including insurance card and New Patient paperwork.
• Triaging calls and escalating to Medical Assistant/Nurse or leadership as needed.
• Remind patients to arrive 15–30 minutes early to complete paperwork.

Schedules appointments, provides information to inquirers, and transfers calls, as appropriate. This role collects, verifies and enters scheduling information and provides clerical support as needed.Summary Of Responsibilities:Answer all incoming calls and route them to appropriate personnel; take messages and send tasks, as necessary.Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments for patients, make calls to reschedule appointments as requested.Use sound judgment in handling calls, especially with upset patients, and understand when to escalate calls to triage Medical Assistant / Nurse or Office leadership.
