Job summary

HOPCo in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Patient Services Representative to handle front-desk duties and ensure smooth patient flow. You will manage multi-line phone systems, collect payments, schedule appointments, verify benefits, and maintain patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA.

The ideal candidate has at least six months of medical receptionist experience, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with basic computer tasks and typing. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience as a medical receptionist.
• Experience with customer service and multi-phone lines; proper phone etiquette.
• Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Collects payments and co-payments for all services at time of the patient’s exam.
• Scheduling Walk-in, STAT, and Same Day Appointments.
• Cancelling/Re-Scheduling No Show and incomplete exams as well as confirming next day appointments.
• Escorts and directs patients to dressing rooms and lockers for changing into exam gowns.
• Prints out all patient paperwork and assembles patient’s charts on behalf of Rad Technologists.
• Demonstrates cooperative, positive and professional patient care and customer service.
• Attends all mandatory in-services and training.
• Verify and process patient benefits/responsibilities for upcoming appointments.
• Confirm next day appointments.
• Other duties as assigned
