Job summary

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is seeking a Patient Services Representative to handle patient registration, scheduling, and clerical duties.

The role includes verifying insurance, processing preauthorizations, collecting copays, and scanning documents into the EMR to support efficient department operations. The incumbent will interact with patients, families, the community, vendors, coworkers, and physicians in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings required for the role.
• High School Diploma or GED; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Relevant experience in patient services or clerical work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with patients, families and physicians.
• Provide customer service and clerical support to the department.
• Collect copays and account balances; process payments.
• Scan documents into the EMR and maintain accurate records.
