Job summary

Messino Cancer Centers seeks a Patient Services Specialist to provide high-quality front-end patient support by managing intake, scheduling, medical records, and financial transactions with accurate documentation and excellent customer service.

You will greet patients, verify identities, schedule appointments, maintain EMR data, handle payments, and coordinate with physicians and care teams across locations, while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred
• Experience: 1 year in a healthcare setting; physician office experience preferred
• Strong customer service, attention to detail and multitasking ability

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and caregivers professionally to create a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Check in patients, verify identity, and document status and location in the EMR.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments, including new patients and follow-ups.
• Maintain patient records in the EMR and billing systems with accuracy.
• Collect and post patient payments; coordinate with Financial Counselor as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and coordinate with clinicians and care teams.
