Job summary

Mary Free Bed is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Orthotics & Prosthetics + Bionics department. You will greet patients, check them in and out, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and assist with scheduling and wayfinding.

Ideal candidates have a GED or Diploma with strong data entry, telephone, and customer service skills, plus excellent organizational and communication abilities for daily high-paced interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum GED or Diploma and data entry accuracy.
• Associates degree preferred for advancement.
• ICD-10-CM and CPT coding knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors at check-in/out and assist with registration.
• Verify insurance and benefits, collect co-pays, and assist with wayfinding.
• Coordinate scheduling for multi-discipline evaluations and follow-up appointments.
• Provide clerical support to Scheduling and Patient Financial Services teams.
• Respond to inquiries from patients and their representatives and escalate as needed.
