Job summary

Midwest-Eye-Consultants is seeking a Patient Services Representative to facilitate communication between patients, doctors, and staff. You will verify insurance, schedule appointments, check patients in/out, answer phones, and assist the Central Billing department.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and prior medical office experience; knowledge of medical billing/coding is a plus. This on-site role offers a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office and knowledge of medical billing/coding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, assist in patient communications and recalls.
• Respond to patient inquiries about billing, procedures, policies and available services.
• Prepare patient charts prior to appointment and complete upon arrival.
• Verify chart documentation and insurance information during checkout, post payments, and file clean claims.
• Balance cash drawer and process daily deposits; submit essential reports.
