The position requires handling check-in/out, insurance verifications, and coordination with the Central Billing department, with a focus on accuracy and excellent patient service.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, assist in patient communications and recalls.
• Respond to patient inquiries about billing, procedures, policies and available services.
• Prepare patient chart prior to appointment and complete upon arrival.
• Process patients through checkout by verifying chart and insurance, posting payments, filing clean claims, scheduling referrals, and data entry into EHR.
• Balance cash drawer and prepare daily deposits; run reports and submit essential reports.
• Monitor patient flow and communicate delays.
• Maintain a safe and clean office environment.
• Perform other duties as determined by the office manager and doctors.
