Job summary

Western Wayne Family Health Centers in Dearborn, MI seeks a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support front desk operations, appointment scheduling, patient intake, and routine billing in a busy clinic environment.

You will greet guests, answer calls, verify insurance, check in patients, prepare charts, process payments, and assist with EMR entries while maintaining confidentiality and a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in a clinic or medical office preferred.
• 1 year experience with an electronic medical record system preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and reschedule appointments following protocol.
• Register new patients with complete demographic and insurance info.
• Assist with fee calculation, payment collection, and cash handling.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct to appropriate staff.
• Check-out patients and update charts and records accurately.
• Verify insurance enrollment and perform basic eligibility checks.
• Maintain lobby areas and support front desk team as needed.
