St. Elizabeth Healthcare seeks a Patient Service Representative I to collect accurate demographic and insurance information to support a smooth revenue cycle. The role handles scheduling, data entry into the EMR, and patient payments with a focus on accuracy and courteous service.

The position is full-time with a 40-hour week, Monday–Friday 9:30 AM–8:00 PM and alternating weekend shifts. HIPAA compliance and patient-centered care are essential in daily duties.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year experience in a customer service role
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Medical Office Experience preferred

Aufgaben

• Schedules appointments for patients via phone or in person, coordinating with physicians on availability and patient preferences
• Verifies patient demographic information and current insurance
• Collects co-pays, self-pays, and outstanding balances
• Enters data into EMR accurately and completely
• Answers phones within three rings with friendly, helpful service
• Ensures proper completion of referrals, test scheduling, and pre-certification
