Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team in Glendale, AZ. The role supports patient intake, scheduling, and front-desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Starting from $17 per hour, full-time position with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement within our musculoskeletal care group. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and courteous service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer / patient service.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of computer programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand/Perform training on practice management software.
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed, creates phone note in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time
• All other duties as assigned.

• Basic phone handling skills - Contact Center experience
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
