Job summary

OrthoArizona in Gilbert, AZ is hiring a Medical Receptionist to join our orthopedic team. You’ll handle calls, check-in patients, verify information and support documentation in the EMR, ensuring a welcoming and efficient patient experience.

Starting pay is $17 per hour for full-time hours, with a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, PTO, and opportunities for advancement within our fast-growing practice.

• As a Medical Receptionist with OrthoArizona, you’ll get to:
• Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed, creates phone note in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include

• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur

• Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of medical office experience
• 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed experience preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
• Bilingual a plus
• Basic phone handling skills - Contact Center experience
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
