Job summary

Tidelands Health in Georgetown, SC, is seeking a Patient Services Representative II to register patients, handle first-call resolutions, verify demographics and insurance, and support referrals and scheduling. Qualifications

Two (2) years of related customer experience, preferably in healthcare.
Experience scheduling or pre-registering patients; call center experience helpful.
Ability to interact successfully with the public and maintain composure under deadlines.

Responsibilities

Engage patients during registration to create a welcoming experience.
Enter accurate demographic and insurance information into the EHR.
Obtain signatures and required forms, explain patient rights and financial assistance.
Document insurance verification details and arrange referrals/pre-certifications as needed.
Handle inbound/outbound calls; assist with reminders and appointment scheduling.
Follow up on paperwork and coordinate with departments to support patient care.
Open and sort mail and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
