Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) to serve as the first point of contact in the Tri-County Primary Care physician office. The PSR will handle patient registration, demographic verification, insurance card processing, and scheduling with accuracy and courtesy.

The role requires strong communication, excellent customer service, and the ability to explain financial options, collect payments, and support multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary contact between patients and physician practices.
• Greet patients and provide respectful, high‑quality customer service.
• Schedule patients, enter information, and route calls accurately.
• Process admissions and verify basic insurance information.
• Calculate patient liabilities and collect payments; reconcile cash drawer.
• Assist with referrals, authorizations, and MyChart scheduling.
