Job summary

Responsibilities include completing pre-registration and insurance verification, communicating financial responsibility, recording data into the EMR, and upholding HIPAA privacy.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of experience working with insurance preferred.
• 2 years of medical office experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency of Microsoft software products and computer skills.
• EMR software experience is preferred.
• Bilingual, Spanish/English is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Answer the call-center phone with professional demeanor.
• Complete pre-registration and insurance verification and communicate financial responsibility.
• Obtain complete clinical, demographic, and financial information during scheduling.
• Record and verify forms and insurance information into the EMR.
• Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
