Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative for CityMD locations in New York. You will warmly greet patients, register and coordinate appointments, and manage patient information with care.

You will verify insurance, handle payments, and maintain accurate records while delivering exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates have high school education, strong communication, and a proactive, flexible approach to a fast-paced healthcare setting; bilingual abilities may be required based

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Happy, welcoming and can-do attitude with patients and coworkers.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service environments preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player; proficient with computers (55 wpm).
• Bilingual skills may be required based on site location.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Coordinate patient intake and appointment scheduling.
• Enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with paperwork as needed.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Verify insurance eligibility and liaise with Billing as appropriate.
• Handle cash and co-pays accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Notify site manager of wait times and inquiries.
