VillageMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome patients at CityMD locations and coordinate patient intake. You will accurately enter patient information, assist with paperwork, and help ensure a smooth, compassionate patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling insurance questions, processing co-pays, and maintaining meticulous records while delivering top-notch service to every patient.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Warm, welcoming attitude with patients and coworkers.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player with strong collaboration.
• Computer proficiency and typing at about 55 wpm.
• Flexible/adaptable in a continuously evolving healthcare environment.
• Passion for helping others in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsabilités

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Coordinate patient intake and other appointments.
• Enter/update patient information in system.
• Assist patients with completion of paperwork when necessary.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls and inquiries promptly and politely.
• Process medical insurance information and verify eligibility; liaise with Billing as needed.
• Handle cash and co-pays accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager of waiting room wait times and patient inquiries.
