Piedmont Urgent Care is hiring a Patient Service Representative (Medical Receptionist) to be the first point of contact and ensure a welcoming, efficient front desk experience. You will manage front-office operations, assist with admin tasks, and support clinic workflow in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, handling documentation, verifying insurance, communicating costs, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience as Medical Receptionist or Patient Services Representative in a medical setting.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.
• Experience using EMR software; EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: maintain confidentiality and organize key documents.
• Insurance Verification: analyze benefits, verify eligibility, and explain policies.
• Financial Responsibility: determine and collect patient payments with clarity.
• Collaborative Support: assist the practice manager, providers, and staff as needed.
• Compliance: adhere to HIPAA and OSHA; ensure proper documentation and processes.
• Travel Requirement: support staffing by traveling to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations.
