Job summary

PathGroup is hiring a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC or In-office PST. The role involves venipuncture and specimen processing, interacting with clients, patients, and PathGroup personnel, and performing clerical duties with accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED (Phlebotomist Certification preferred) and at least 1 year of related experience. This is an on-site position with standard clinic hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Louisiana requirement).
• At least 1 year of prior related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and maintains courteous treatment of all clients.
• Collects specimens and explains venipuncture and specimen collection procedures.
• Ensures proper handling, labeling, and transport of specimens per procedures.
• Maintains accurate requisitions, patient data, and billing information in PathConnect and related systems.
• Produces accurate daily records and logs for PSC/IOPST operations.
• Performs basic clerical tasks including filing, faxing, and electronic data entry.
