Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office setting. You will interact professionally with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff while performing forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, collecting specimens accurately, explaining procedures to patients, and ensuring precise data entry into PathConnect and related systems.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and PSC specimen collection duties performed accurately and on time.
• Ability to explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly to patients.
• Attention to detail for entering patient and test information into PathConnect and other systems.
• Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and following safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and treat all individuals courteously.
• Ensure all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Enter patient, specimen, insurance, and billing information accurately into computer systems.
• Maintain records and logs for PSC/IOPST Patient Services Technicians.
