Job summary

PathGroup seeks a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the Patient Services Center or in-office. You will interact with clients and patients, collect specimens, and process them following established practices and procedures with confidence and professionalism.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, collecting venipuncture samples, documenting requisitions, entering patient and billing information, maintaining records, and supporting inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (may be required based on state and laboratory guidelines).
• Phlebotomist Certification is preferred. (Required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately. Treat all customers in a courteous manner.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures. Explains venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and calmly.
• Enters patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer with high accuracy.
• Maintains daily records and PSC/IOPST logs; assists with monthly statistics and data.
