Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls, providing information per policies and procedures.
• Schedules patient appointments and enters demographic and insurance data.
• Verifies insurance and obtains referrals as needed prior to visits.
• Assists patients with registering for MyChart.
• Manages high volume of telephone calls and routes messages to providers.
• Performs (pre) registration and check-in for appointments.
• Collects co-payments and reconciles payments; handles deposits.
• Coordinates referrals, tests, and preauthorizations with payers.
• Addresses In Basket messages and scans medical records.
• Ensures adherence to GBMC safety and patient privacy policies.
