UTMB Health's Victory Lakes Surgical Specialties Clinic is seeking a Patient Services Specialist II to manage patient registration, scheduling, and coordination of care. You will interact with patients, physicians, and staff, ensuring accurate information, confidentiality, and a positive patient experience.

The role requires an Associate's degree and clerical or customer service experience, with knowledge of health insurance processes and BLS certification within 90 days.

Formación

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in clerical or customer service preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and database management.
• Knowledge of health insurance verification and authorizations.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent service.

Responsabilidades

• Lead as a team leader and provide peer guidance.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients and staff.
• Coordinate scheduling and financial counseling for day surgery.
• Register patients and verify third-party coverage.
• Pre-register patients and ensure Medicare/third-party eligibility.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure patient information.
• Complete competency training annually.
