Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience preferably in a medical setting with insurance billing.
• Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to adapt to supporting software applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and input all appointments in scheduling module in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assure all pre-procedure activities are scheduled or completed.
• Manage patient cancellations and additions to schedule.
• Print patient schedule and pull patient charts daily.
• Facilitate the admission process by greeting patients and collecting ID and insurance information.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical and financial records securely.
• Complete front-end billing process in registration module.
• Perform insurance verification and prior authorizations.
