Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office; 1–2 years preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Maintain patient records and update patient information as needed.
• Ability to reliably arrive to work on time.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Greets, screens, and schedules in-person patients.
• Answers and screens telephone communications and relays messages.
• Inputs information into electronic health records and support services platforms.
• Verify insurance information and collect co-payments.
• Prepares and processes correspondence and routine inquiries.
• Obtains and updates patient information and provides support to patients and staff.
• Assists in medical record maintenance and file retrieval under state/federal laws.
• Ensures scheduling accuracy for provider and patient time.
