Job summary

Lincoln County's Coastal Healthcare clinics are seeking a Support Services Specialist to be the first contact for clients, caregivers, and staff, handling phone and in-person inquiries while scheduling appointments and verifying insurance. This role supports financial health by ensuring proper data entry, and by providing high-quality customer service to staff and the public.

Qualifications

• Two-Three years customer service background with progressively responsible clerical experience.
• High School Diploma / GED.
• Basic knowledge of billing and payment principles.
• Basic knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as receptionist and front office support.
• Schedule appointments and maintains schedules.
• Answer the phone and manage multi-line system.
• Act as first point of contact for clients, caregivers and family.
• Receive and relay messages to staff.
• Assess and respond to emergencies and non-emergency situations.
• Show tact and diplomacy in challenging situations.
