Job summary

CentroMed is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients at our clinics, ensuring a welcoming experience during registration and data entry.

You will process payments, verify eligibility for programs, and coordinate scheduling while supporting daily office operations and compliance requirements.

Preference given to bilingual English/Spanish candidates with a high school diploma and health-care experience; strong clerical skills encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General experience working in a health care setting; and experience with medical data entry preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Register and process patients and families requesting health care, social services and counseling.
• Enter charges for self-pay, insurance, and eligibility programs; reconcile daily balances.
• Verify patient eligibility for special programs (e.g., Methodist Healthcare Ministries and others).
• Schedule patient appointments according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate encounter data and assist with the agency’s Quality Improvement activities.
