Job summary

CentroMed is seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as the primary contact for patients at our clinics. You will welcome patients into the system, register patients, and coordinate data entry to meet program deadlines. You will also conduct financial reviews, billing, and data summaries for agency reporting.

The position includes comprehensive benefits and requires strong clerical skills plus bilingual English/Spanish abilities to assist diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General experience working in a health care setting; and experience with medical data entry preferred.
• Strong clerical skills to include keyboarding and a good understanding of basic math.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Establish and update accounts in the computer system using patient details and identifiers.
• Enter charges for self-pay, insurance, and eligibility programs; reconcile daily balances.
• Determine patient eligibility for special programs and assist patients and visitors at the clinic.
• Schedule patient appointments per established protocols; maintain logs and outreach paperwork.
• Maintain accurate patient financial and demographic information; assist with data summaries for reporting.
