Job summary

CentroMed is seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as the primary contact for patients at our clinic. The CSR welcomes patients, handles registration, processes healthcare and social services requests, and coordinates encounter data entry to meet deadlines.

The role also covers patient financial reviews, billing, and data summaries for annual reporting. The ideal candidate has general healthcare experience, strong clerical skills, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• General experience working in a health care setting.
• Experience with medical data entry preferred.
• Strong clerical skills including keyboarding and attention to detail.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and process patients/families requesting health care, social services, and counseling.
• Coordinate encounter data entry to meet program and agency deadlines.
• Conduct and record patient financial reviews, billing, and collections as needed.
• Assist patients and visitors who walk into the clinic and answer phones.
• Verify current insurance status using TMHP and Availity where applicable.
• Schedule patient appointments following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate encounter logs and demographic information.
• Follow up on no-shows and assist clinical teams as needed.
