Job summary

CentroMed is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients at our clinics in San Antonio. The CSR welcomes patients, handles registration, and coordinates data entry to meet agency deadlines.

Responsibilities include verifying eligibility, scheduling, billing, and maintaining accurate patient records. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; strong clerical and computer skills are required in a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: health care setting and medical data entry preferred.
• Strong clerical skills including keyboarding and basic math.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and update accounts in the system with accurate demographic data.
• Enter charges for self-pay, insurance, and eligibility programs; reconcile daily balances.
• Verify patient eligibility for programs and assist with scheduling and outreach as needed.
• Assist patients and visitors; answer phones and identify clinic information clearly.
• Maintain attention to detail, adhere to policies, and support quality improvement activities.
