Optum NY/NJ is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our team in Newburgh, NY. You will greet and register patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and support scheduling and front-office operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires 1+ year of customer service or healthcare experience and strong computer skills. This position offers a 38-hour work week with rotating shifts and weekends as needed at our Newburgh location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service or healthcare experience.
• Proficient with computers and able to work across multiple web browsers and monitors.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Receives payments from patients, issues receipts and posts payment data.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and coverage at the time of service.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
• Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments per physician guidance.
• Maintains a clean, organized front-office environment and supports office operations.
