Stanford Medicine Children’s Health outpatients clinic seeks a Clinical Assistant II to support patient registration, scheduling and greeting. Under general supervision, you will relay messages, assist staff, collect demographics and insurance data, and help ensure timely appointments for both new and returning patients.

You will work with care teams to maintain records, process authorizations, post co-pays and support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree may substitute for work experience.
• One year of work experience required; medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computer systems and software used in medical offices; preferred familiarity with medical terminology and billing concepts (ICD-9/CPT).

Responsabilidades

• Answer multi-line phone calls, screen and route messages for clinic staff and physicians.
• Schedule and edit patient appointments for new and returning patients.
• Schedule consultations with other clinics or physicians as needed.
• Greet patients and manage waiting room seating; communicate delays as needed.
• Collect patient demographics and insurance data; manage signatures for registration.
• Obtain authorization information and assist with payer processes; collect co-pays.
• Maintain and file patient records; retrieve charts as needed; print scheduling reports.
