Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Office Receptionist in Arlington Heights, IL. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with hours Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM and occasional travel to other locations.

You will handle reception, scheduling, patient assistance, and general clerical duties to ensure a high level of service. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year of customer service experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma, GED, or Higher Education completed
• One year of customer service work experience or interaction with the public required
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Proficient computer skills

Responsibilities

• Greets incoming patients and visitors and provides hospitable customer service; refers to appropriate departments and confirms demographics and eligibility.
• Receives and forwards calls and relays messages per protocol.
• Registers new patients and schedules providers; reschedules and follows up on missed appointments.
• Collects co-pays and balances; schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
• Responds to patient questions following organizational policies and procedures.
• May coordinate with other departments and providers for information requests or problem resolution.
• Performs clerical duties and may order supplies; operates standard office machines.
• May assist with medical records and clinical personnel as needed.
• Maintains waiting areas in a neat, professional manner.
• Performs special projects as assigned and adheres to all Endeavor Health standards.
