Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three years of experience in a medical office setting is required.
• Knowledge of medical office software for updating demographics, posting charges, copays, and scheduling appointments. CPT and ICD9-CM coding processes must be understood.
• Excellent verbal communication; ability to handle changing priorities; strong organizational, problem solving and confidentiality skills.
• Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority; team player with initiative.
• Basic medical terminology; familiarity with payor billing requirements; knowledge of coding for practice specialties.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals at least 50% of the time.
• Perform Dimensions super-user functions such as EPIC support for the practice.
• Handle miscellaneous work queues and related duties.
