Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a medical office setting, required.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Requires knowledge of medical office software for updating patient info, posting charges, copays, and scheduling appointments.
• Understanding of CPT and ICD9-CM coding processes.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with changing priorities and interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.
• Maintaining confidentiality and functioning as part of a team.
• Initiative and basic medical terminology knowledge; EPIC systems experience.
• Familiarity with coding requirements for practice specialty.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing referrals at least 50% of the time and/or performing Dimensions super-user functions such as practice support with EPIC or working the miscellaneous work queues.
