BRCC is seeking a professional medical office receptionist to greet patients, collect and verify documents, update demographics and insurance details, and manage front-desk duties in a fast-paced oncology/hematology clinic setting.

The role requires strong Microsoft Office skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Employees may handle scheduling, co-pays, and HIPAA-compliant record keeping daily.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 18 months front medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
  • Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Check in patients and inform clinical staff of arrival.
  • Collect and verify paperwork, scan and file patient forms.
  • Update demographics and insurance information in the system.
  • Collect co-pays and provide receipts.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Route inquiries to appropriate personnel or take thorough messages.
  • Schedule scans and outside consults as ordered by physician.
