Job summary

The Urology Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to deliver exceptional patient care at the front desk, assisting with registration, scheduling, and payments. This role emphasizes accurate insurance verification and a seamless patient experience, across phone and in-person interactions.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting co-pays, updating demographics, and coordinating with clinicians to ensure timely appointments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college work preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3 years’ customer service experience required; medical office experience, especially urology, preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CPT procedure coding and ICD-10 coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and greets patients and visitors at the front desk, in person or by phone.
• Registers new patients and updates demographics with detailed personal and financial information.
• Collects outstanding patient balances and processes co-pays and deductibles.
• Obtains referrals and authorizations when required.
• Scans and files medical records and documents into patient charts.
• Maintains organized front desk and office supplies, and monitors equipment.
• Notifies providers and staff of patient arrivals and delays to facilitate flow.
• Schedules follow-up services and office visits.
