Job summary

Washington Radiology in Sterling, VA is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join a patient-focused front office team. You will greet patients, register demographics and insurance information into our RIS system and verify accuracy of records.

You will also explain forms, assist with completion, handle patient payments, and maintain confidentiality while coordinating appointments and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling and medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner and register patients in the RIS system.
• Explain forms to patients and assist with form completion, via paper or tablet.
• Collect patient payments and verify insurance as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage paperwork linked to the patient’s medical record.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments and reconcile daily payments.
