Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic cash handling knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and sit/stand for long periods.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; RIS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients as first contact and register them in the RIS with demographic and insurance data.
• Explain forms to patients and assist with completion, on paper or tablet.
• Process paperwork and maintain confidentiality; link scans to patient records.
• Collect patient payments and verify benefits when necessary.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments; generate daily invoicing and reconcile payments.
• Support front office training and uphold policy and procedures.
