Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Patient Service Representative to deliver outstanding patient service, handle calls, scheduling, registration and co-pay collection in a multi-specialty outpatient setting. You will greet patients, check in/out, verify demographics and insurance in CS-Link, coordinate referrals, support physician schedules, and uphold infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Patient Service Rep in outpatient medical offices preferred.
• Authorization experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service through intake, prioritization, and resolution of calls and patient needs for a multi-specialty team.
• Greet patients and assist with resolving patient issues or raising patients issues.
• Check-in and out patients and collect co-payments/give receipts/reconcile payments; verify patient demographics and insurance data in CS-Link.
• Schedules appointments, complete patient registration, collect patient payments and provide high standard of service.
• Assist with management of physician schedules and identify improvement opportunities; handle patient/provider correspondence.
• Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types.
• Monitor and manage CS-Link message pools and standard work.
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients using administrative knowledge.
• Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings.
• Promote infection prevention standards and all department policies and procedures.
