Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Patient Service Rep to maintain positive patient relations, handle phone communications, schedule appointments, and manage patient registration and payments. The role supports a multi-specialty team across the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network with a focus on accurate data capture and excellent service.

Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, experience in outpatient settings, and familiarity with insurance data and CS-Link to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in outpatient medical office setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Workers Compensation Referral processing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service through intake, scheduling, and resolving patient needs for a multi-specialty team.
• Greet patients and assist with resolving issues or directing to appropriate staff.
• Check-in/out patients, collect co-payments, receipts, and reconcile payments; verify demographics/insurance in CS-Link.
• Schedule appointments, complete patient registrations, and ensure high standard of service.
• Assist with physician scheduling and communicate patient/provider correspondence as instructed.
• Process referrals and authorizations for various insurance types.
