Job summary

Carbon Healthis seeking a Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a fast-paced clinic. This full-time hourly role supports day-to-day operations, handles scheduling, data entry, and patient communications with a focus on accuracy, compassion, and confidentiality.

You will manage calls, appointments, check-ins, and billing support while coordinating with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in receptionist/front-desk/customer service; medical setting preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel, and Word for data entry and reporting.
• Strong phone etiquette and professional communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Commitment to confidentiality and accuracy in data handling.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and callers.
• Manage high volume calls, route messages, and answer inquiries.
• Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments in PM systems.
• Greet patients, verify ID and insurance, complete forms.
• Update patient records using Google Sheets, Excel, and Word.
• Coordinate patient flow with staff to minimize wait times.
• Process payments, co-pays, and billing per procedures.
• Handle sensitive patient information per privacy standards.
• Perform general admin tasks like scanning and filing.
• Support clinic operations during the fixed term.
