Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a Patient Service Representative for a 40-hour, full-time schedule on the Lake Forest campus with possible travel to Grayslake. Shifts are 7:00am-3:30pm or 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday, supporting patient check-in, check-out and registration with a strong focus on service quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years experience in a customer service position preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Bilingual abilities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests, confirms identity and directs to the appropriate service area.
• Performs check-in/out functions and updates patient information.
• Obtains patient consents/authorizations as needed.
• Collects co-payments and balances; processes payments.
• Posts payments and assists with end-of-day cash reconciliation.
• Keeps waiting areas clean and comfortable.
• Notifies patients of delays or changes in appointment status.
• Schedules appointments as necessary.
• Travel to other ICCs/departments as needed for PSRs in ICCs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
