Job summary

Housing Works is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our Primary Care team in New York. You will greet patients, handle registrations, verify insurance, schedule follow-ups, and ensure a welcoming clinic environment that supports a smooth front-office operation.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Must be available to work evening and weekend shifts.
• Experience in community-based settings with patients who are LGBTQIA+, experiencing homelessness, substance use, or mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments efficiently and accurately.
• Greet patients and manage check-in processes.
• Assist with patient registrations and enrollment data.
• Verify insurance and pre-authorization where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area and handle phone inquiries.
