Job summary

Care For The Homeless in New York City is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support patients and clinical teams within our PCMH model. You will handle front and back-office tasks, verify demographics, insurance, income, and schedule visits.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and two years in ambulatory care, bilingual English and Spanish, strong organization, communication, and confidentiality aligned with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in ambulatory care setting, Emergency Room, and/or Physician office.
• Bilingual English & Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; check-in/check-out for in-person or telemedicine visits.
• Register new patients and verify demographics, insurance, income, and housing information.
• Input/update patient information in eCW; verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Schedule follow-ups and manage appointments; coordinate referrals and authorizations.
• Assist patients with portals, payments, and sliding fee scale processes.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
