Job summary

Aurora Medical Group, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a patient services coordinator to provide efficient, high-quality service to patients arriving for appointments and calling for information. You will support scheduling, billing and medical records, ensure accurate entry at the time of service, and assist clinical staff with maintaining records and coordinating referrals.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; no holidays or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years related customer service experience.
• Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients who arrive for appointments or who telephone or visit in person to request appointments or information on tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters.
• Ensures entry at time of service of billing information on the patient and payer and accurate follow-up on missing information.
• Upholds standards of the practice and of the medical group for accurate and timely medical records.
