The position is full-time, with standard business hours and occasional overtime. Training occurs on-site in Worcester with potential remote readiness for certain tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience in a clinical setting.
• 1+ years of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience (EPIC preferred).
• Must be 18 years of age OR older.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient insurance coverage and eligibility using the scheduling system.
• Verifies and updates demographic, insurance and other patient information.
• Handles patient-care related telephone calls via a defined queue.
• Identifies and responds to urgent needs by contacting physician/provider within guidelines.
• Provides patient education regarding managed care plans and referrals.
