Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Patient Services Associate (PSA) II to enhance the patient experience by processing arrival and departure activities, verifying insurance, referrals, and demographics. The role also obtains pre-certifications for procedures to ensure smooth patient flow and prompt treatment.

This position emphasizes courteous, professional interactions with patients and visitors, supporting efficient visits to examination rooms in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to communicate courteously with patients and visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data while managing a time-sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, visitors, and staff professionally and courteously.
• Processes check-in/check-out and scheduling via EPIC.
• Obtains pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of the practice and escalates concerns as needed.
• Greets patients/visitors in a professional manner, by phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and applicable regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
